A graduate of Academy College in Bloomington, Minnesota, April Grams holds a bachelor of business administration. Since 2007, she has served as a marketing specialist with Dichtomatik Americas, conducting print and digital media marketing campaigns to optimize brand management. Outside of work, April Grams volunteers with the Sibley County Food Share.

Relying on the support of local businesses, churches, and individuals, the Sibley County Food Share provides families and individuals with enough food and essential supplies to last them several days. To fund its efforts, the organization accepts cash donations that allows them to purchase food from Second Harvest Heartland, a regional food bank that sells items at highly discounted prices. Sibling County Food Share also encourages Gaylord County citizens to organize food drives at their school, business, or place of worship.

In addition to providing food, the organization connects individuals with services such as energy assistance, access to school gardens, and free meal sites for seniors. Typically, visitors receive services once a month, although the Food Shelf will not turn away anyone who needs to visit more frequently.
